Ahead of the upcoming IPL mini auction, all the franchises will bid for the released players and set their potential teams ahead of the next edition. The IPL auction is all set to take place in Dubai, on December 19 in the Coca-Cola arena. This is the first time when an IPL auction is being held outside India. This will not only ensure IPL’s dominance and repo all over India and IPL playing nations but also in the Gulf country.

Shahrukh to spark a bidding war: Ashwin

Veteran Indian spinner and Rajasthan Royals player Ravichandran Ashwin recently in his YouTube video spoke about Shahrukh Khan to start off a bidding war between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. The reason being, this year Punjab Kings released the right-arm bowler and Ashwin is sure that the 28-year old will spark a war between franchises for almost 12-13 crores.

In the video, Ashwin remarked “I can definitely see a war between CSK and GT for Shahrukh Khan because Gujarat Titans just lost middle batter/ finisher Hardik and they need a power player. Shahrukh was at the Punjab Kings for ₹9 crores, and I felt he showed his skills pretty well. Is it a decent release? Because I think he is going to go for at least 12 or 13 crore again.”

Shahrukh’s IPL vows

The all-round and pace specialist was signed by the Punjab Kings for 9 crores in the 2022 edition. He featured in all the 14 games, having scored 156 runs but now his name has been included in the list of released players for Punjab Kings.

He also drew attention on CSK’s mega bid when the franchise was ready to sign in for 8.75 crores but ultimately Punjab Kings got the deal done for 9 crores.
