IPL is coming close. All teams submitted their retained and released players list on November 26. But there was a twist over a trade of Gujarat Titans to Mumbai Indians. Hardik Pandya’s trade created confusion among fans. Last night, the news came over Hardik’s move to the Mumbai Indians. On November 27, Mumbai Indians posted an official announcement on his trade.

Hardik”s Mumbai Coming:

Hardik Pandya started his IPL career with Mumbai Indians in 2015. In 2022, MI management released him and Gujarat Titans purchased him. In that season, GT management appointed him as the captain. With his captaincy, Gujarat Titans gave a fairy-tale start to their campaign. They won their first IPL Trophy in 2022. In 2023, they played the final against CSK and ended up as the runners-up.

For this season, a buzz was created over Hardik’s trade to Mumbai Indians. Sources were saying, that Gujarat Titans would trade him to Mumbai Indians. In return, Gujarat Titans will not take any players. They will take money from MI. But while retaining, GT retained Hardik Pandya. But after some time, the news came over Hardik’s Move to Mumbai Indians.

MI’s Official Announcement:

Till November 26, there was no official announcement over Hardik’s trade. Fans were still confused over this news. On November 27, Mumbai Indians made an official announcement on Hardik’s trade. They posted a picture of Hardik Pandya in the Mumbai Indians jersey. Fans were going crazy over this.   

GT’s Director of Cricket said, “ As the first captain of Gujarat Titans, Hardik Pandya has helped the franchise deliver two fantastic seasons that resulted in winning one IPL championship and one appearance in the final. He has now expressed a desire to his original team Mumbai Indians. We respect his decision and wish him all the very best in his future endeavors.”

MI owner Nita Ambani is delighted to bring Hardik back. She said, “ We are thrilled to welcome Hardik back home! It is a heartwarming reunion with our Mumbai Indians family!”
