With the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2203  conclusion, all of the cricketers in Team India have got busy in their lives with other commitments and priorities. While some of them like Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan are kicking off the 5-match T20I series against Australia, skipper Rohit Sharma headed to a much-needed vacation. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill has also got himself busy with other work commitments.

Today is the day, when five Indian soldiers put their life at risk to save the lives of people at the Taj Hotel situated in Mumbai which is famously known as 26/11 attack. The terror attack was a deadly one with the bombing attacks lasting for four days. The unsung heroes of the Taj attack will forever remain in the memories of the people as they should be for saving the lives of the Indian populace. 

Gill greets the families of unsung heroes

With the Global Peace Honours 2023 being held in the city of Mumbai, several celebrities, cricket personalities and other renowned persons arrived at the venue to pay tribute to the unsung heroes of the 26/11 attacks. Among the cricketers, Team India’s young and sensational batsman, Shubman Gill also graced the memorable event with his presence as he met and greeted the families of the martyred soldiers in the 2008 Taj Attack. He also striked a pose for the paparazzi and was captured with the families of the unsung heroes.

Ahead of Shubman meeting the families of the martyred soldiers, of which the video clip is getting viral on Twitter, fans are heaping praise on the 24-year old cricketer for coming through such a kind and respectful gesture. One of the fans on Twitter remarked “Shubman Gill’s gesture with the families of martyred soldiers from 26/11 reflects a touching tribute and a moment of solidarity”, while another fan quoted “Meaning, the boy is an excellent player as well as cultured and kind.”
